Best option craig. If we started using in clinometers and measuring to minutes and seconds its a different ball game. So I would say your option is as good as any. Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Buckingham Blue

Just ordered some from the link that Smutt posted. The Continental ones.

My LR ones are smearing now, right over the rain sensor, so the auto wipers pretty much stay on constantly, irrespective of the rain. Peachy......

England 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Hello everyone i am new to this site Very Happy. I have just fitted the ebay wipers from bolt on bits and they do fit but i was not impressed with the clip that holds them to the arm.If the button that locates in the wiper arm was just a bit longer i think it would make them more secure. As to noise there is none but i have not had the chance to try them in heavy rain yet. I also broke the plastic clip on the near side it just fell apart as i removed the blade. Can i buy this insert or does it come with new blades such as bosch 808? Better to remain silent and a thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

The ONLY reason I bought these was to eliminate that clunk... my genuine LR wipers are just fine, with a clunk

Thought these ones took that away. Doesn't make good reading now to find out the clunk remains and they are fiddly to fit?

Hi Nick,

Which ones clunked?

The Continental ones.

Or the ones from Advanced Factors?

TIA,

Thanks, Stan.

I'll think I'll give the Conti's a try,

I had seen some on ebay (link below) but even though they offer to buy their customers a new Range Rover if the wipers don't fit, that doesn't necessarily mean that the wipers will actually work properly.

2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Well like some of the others, I jumped on a band wagon. Bought mine to eliminate a clunking noise at the top of the swipe on the drivers side. Alas it wasn't long after my purchase that ppl commented the clunk remained. Mine are wrapped still in the garage. I have cleaned the rubbers on the genuine LR's and will see how they go. I am a bit confused with how and why it's seemingly quite awkward to swap/upgrade your wiper blades?

Thumbs Up Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Indus Silver

@ Nick, I cured a clunk in mine by removing the wiper arms and re-setting them per the diagram Stan shared. the underneath part where the cast alloy grooved part sits on the spindle is convex to allow different angles of fitting. I've also seen people twist the wiper arms to get a flatter blade which is less likely to clunk at either extreme of travel.

I couldn't believe a supposedly high end vehicle could have such a convoluted wiper arrangement.

If you want to remove the cast allow piece to allow alteration of the 'parked' position you will need a big puller, the usual 'Laser' twin arm wiper removal tools don't have enough travel to accommodate the honking great big spindle!

Hope it's of some use.

Steve

Continental wipers fitted and all is good so far. Zero clunk when out in drizzle a couple of days go.

I struggled with the fitting at first, but the key is that there should be no plastic at all left on the original arms.
I got a slightly tighter fit by gently squeezing the metal opening together with a pair of pliers.

Thanks for the advice. Thumbs Up
