I have a MY'12 5.0 SC AB which I'm really happy with, however the one thing I have never been able to get working is HOMELINK. I live in a small gated development that has electric gates and electric garage doors. The gates and garage doors are two different systems (2 different fobs), and I can't get either of them working. I have followed the instructions in the manual, and done numerous resets to no avail.. I'm beginning to think that the systems are incompatible, although the fact that both the gate and garage doors don't work is coincidental and likely means it is me that is incompatible

Anyway, any advise is appreciated,,

I have electric gates on my driveway and have had homelink on my last 6 RR, its a job to get them to work with UK electric gates, i had to get the transponder changed in my gates for the homelink to work but it took a few attempts to get the gate service company to get them to work as the rolling codes need to match the frequency. I tried a hundred times to programme but if the transponder doesn't match you have no chance. Try Chapel Doors in Norfolk they sorted mine so they know what's involved, It wont be cheap to change transponder but its worth it.

That is my fear... However, I'm going to be optimistic and give it one last try. Sadly if I'm unsuccessful, having the transponders in the gate changed out isn't an option as it is shared and maintained by the management company.. Garage doors on the other hand are my own and I could swap out if required..

Homelink works on old doors and gates provided the frequency is the same , the problem I have found is the new stuff with 2.0+ encryption is too far ahead . I even bought Homelink signal converter from the states to get the system to catch up but no luck so far and I have been trying for a year off and on to make it work . 2008 MY Supercharged

1st button does the gates
2nd button does the garage doors
3rd button ejects SWMBO out the sunroof when she moans about me spending too much on cars.
