I too am interested in this mod, but wondered how it would affect the ABS calibration. I thought it just went on wheel rotation, but I have heard there may be more to it.

Does it stop any better then ?

I've been thinking about this. I was really disappointed with the brakes on the 2010 model (my old tdv8 stopped on s sixpence)

Did you paint the calipers or put them on in the original battleship grey? My Previous RR's!

Cheers Craig - Pete also has an Epsom green - mine tends to stay out the deep mud and water.

When I looked on the bay, just old cruddy calipers were well expensive...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Good stuff, Thumbs Up

I did this on my discovery. Much better. I intend to do them on my 2010. Think it needs the 6 pots tho.

The rr always did need the brembos IMO. You need to know you can stop all that weight in an emergency, and I think the standard calipers wouldn't!

I asked LR Independent about retro fitting Brembos to my RR, and they said would not fit on a 2010 model.

ive always wondered how much bigger the pads are on those Brembo's, as they look a huge caliper, but when you look at the pad, its just a normal-ish caliper size, with big ears! i know the disc is slightly larger, -but doing the maths, how much bigger are the pads when put against each other, surely thats the bit that matters.

How so, they still fitted them to the supercharged in the 2010 run. The mountings are the same.

Dan from duckworths quoted me for the lot to do the conversion. I intend to do it when it warms up a bit.

I agree, the pads are actually smaller in there swept volume of the disc. The braking force must be increased. Like i say, i fitted them to my discovery and the difference was night and day.
