4 bolts remove the seat from the car then its just a few fixings and the bottom (seat base) comes away as a complete unit... There is then a couple of those squeezed metal rings holding the middle of the leather to the swab Thumbs Up

Very very simple job sir Thumbs Up

Most people don't realise the base swabs fit either side... So, to get twice the wear out of your seats, you can simply remove both bases and swap OS & NS over Thumbs Up

Craig, just to confirm, do you have to take out the whole seat first (undoing the 4 bolts on the floor) then remove the base, or does the base come away separately? Do you swap covers or the whole base including heater / fan etc) I remember you mentioning this to me when we met, I want to keep mine looking fresh. You do say very very simple and I beleive I am...!
Thanks in advance chap. Miles Now sold - MY2010 Range Rover Vogue SE - Santorini Black & Ivory Leather

Surely the seat controls will be on the wrong side though ?

the controls are attached to the surround not the squab, the actual squab is separate. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I did this job a couple of years ago on a 2007 (heated / cooled seats) & as Craig says, it's pretty straightforward. Seats do have to come out but from there its just a case of undoing a few fixings before you can remove the base cover / foam, which comes off together. The cover is attached to the foam using hog rings, you can snip these off but need new hog rings & hog ring pliers to re-attach the new foam, I'd actually say this is the trickiest part as some are quite awkardly positioned, but overall very do'able if you take your time. Reassembly is just the reverse from here. I also fitted new leather covers. No photo's I'm afraid, but am planning this job again on another RR so will photograph & post when I get around to it.
