The RAC chap was on Radio 4 at lunchtime. He reckons unleaded will be below a quid in the next month.

For those of us still loyal to Tesco, it already is.

Would anyone like to guess the date petrol goes sub £1??? Do you think it will?

that will be exactly the day before the government slips in a fuel price hike! - to protect their promise to bring down the ever increasing deficit. (And then the 1.5 trillion debt). - before May 5th

Hee he, I remember when Ed Milliband promised to FREEZE energy prices! This would have meant that the fuel price drops (regarding gas prices), would see the suppliers NOT passing on savings, raising their profits etc, and a massive embarrassment for the Ed.
inflation will be down, in time for the election, perhaps affecting the BofE interest rate, Shocked which affects the national debt repayment.

then, as the OPEC delgates think it over, I wonder what the motive is for this strange situation. they are not stupid. Russia is appraching a crisis.
However, we enjoy a little happiness. I just wish it could last!

Russia is the cause I reckon. Screwing them to the wall will force them to lose faith in putin and finally get him out.

Yes, weird. From what I understand, OPEC has been loosing market share, so they are driving down the price of oil. That has two effects: 1) OPEC oil is cheap to pump, many others have oil that is harder to get, so only viable of the price is high.
2) OPEC has bigger pockets than everyone else, so they can whether this a lot longer than Russia, Venezuela, Nigeria, USA, etc.

It seems crazy to me. Shocked I'm sure the price won't remain at this level once their goals have been achieved.
