Used to do that years ago with Rottweilers and Tibetan Mastiffs. First time at earls court with the rotties my wife was booking a car park space at the hotel we were staying at with the dogs, when she was asked the reg number of the car (our first Range Rover - 1987 3.5 V8 classic) she didn't know so said she'd have to go out to check, when the guy said what make and she said range rover, the reply was 'don't worry about the registration, a range rover is perfectly acceptable'!!!
