Home > Technical (L322) > Suspension fault again and IID tool won't clear it |

Started getting the usual susp inactive message along with HDC inactive again. I try to clear the fault with the IID Tool but it won't clear. However when I switch off the ignition and turn it back on, the fault clears until I drive off. If I turn the steering wheel to the left, the message display shows "select neutral" and the lo range light flashes on the dash. The lo range led isn't present on the centre console and the fault shown in IID is "32 - canbus fault" indicating a break somewhere in the wiring.

Have you checked for any other faults - ABS, Steering Sensor etc., just in case it is something else causing the problem? .

I haven't checked anything yet. It only started last night. It's where to start looking, which is the problem. |

Had a look today. Nothing obvious hanging off or worn. I do notice the conpressor runs on after switching off the ignition and when I start the car again, the fault clears. It's only when I drive over a speed bump that it faults again. I checked the values and the pump runs up to about 103psi but takes a while.

103 psi sounds a bit low, mine would vary from between 145 (when off road requested) and 185 when stable (and that was with the old knackered one!). .

I've checked both height sensors and the wiring to them. All seems to be ok.
