Watching the 'Tales of Para Handy'. Remember this from the early 90's. Had no idea it was based on a book series. Great scenery and lovely boats. Finding it difficult to understand the lingo.

I just love the use of the word "client" below (- ie the one who receives the "service")

"The rifle is the first thing you learn, because it lets you keep your distance from the client. The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife, for example, is the last thing you learn."

TV series if you can find it is the Bbc mini series adaption of Das Boot. If you can't find the series watch the film in German with English subtitles

+1 for Das Boot

German voice with English subtitle version is the best as it keeps the the tension and drama which is lost in the dubbed version.
ALARM!

Watched the first two of the Hobbit.

Lord of the Rings - three thick books made into three long films.

The Hobbit - one thin book made into three long films - and it shows. Also, for the first time the special effects looked a bit digital.

Worth watching though.
