You're thinking of the film 'Battle of the Bulge', with Henry Fonda, Telly Savalas, Charles Bronson...

and Robert Shaw, who is the German Tank Commander who spends most of his time towed around in a caravan with his Batman.

Good film though, if a bit inaccurate historically. Thumbs Up

That's an absolute classic!

I have it on DVD and watch it regularly.

Many theorists over who was driving and how it was done, but I gather it's finally been confirmed that the car was a 6.9 S-Class for getting over the cobbles without distorting the picture and then the Ferrari soundtrack dubbed in afterwards.

It matters little. The setting, the surroundings, the fact it was done without anyone knowing, the atmosphere of the whole thing. Unbeatable. Thumbs Up Si. <This is my name.

Well, a phone call delayed watching that movie, but I finally got round to it.

Very silly. A dual with baloon's and blunderbuses over a sewage farm. The inevitable spiked German helmet piercing a baloon.

Benny Hill was in it, but no tits or bums.

Sarah Miles - if she didn't drink her own urine she'd be delicious.

Terry Thomas is such an awful cad.

Robert Morley - had lunch with him at the Dorchester once....ok, that was a lie.

Layer Cake.
I think this was Daniel Craig's first film and he got the role of James Bond because of it. Good film with Michael Gambon, Colm Meaney, Sienna Miller, Jamie Forman

I first watched layer cake purely for the P38 but turned out to be one of the best films vile seen! A bit like when you discover the porn film really does have a plot! Very Happy

.

Love it.

TerryThomas is always great. Check out Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World for more TT. (I prefer the extended "roadshow" cut. Check out Criterion - they have it as a very nice bluray.

Robert Morley is also a wonderfully old fashioned Brit.

You must know something I don't about Sarah Miles, but I don't think I want to know! Shocked

:D

Charade was good.

George Kennedy and James Coburn came to sticky ends though.

I remember watching this as a kid but always thought it was Tarka the Otter. Took me a while to find out which film it was.

Great scenery - Ellenabeich on the Isle of Seil.
