You will need to make sure yours stay live after complete shut down about 20 minutes, depending on model some or all the power sockets go off line when the car is full asleep . 2008 MY Supercharged

I use a Martin CTek plug in the tow socket |

The one in the boot area is also supposed to stay live if you haven't got a tow socket. Previous cars:

Connect direct to the battery using the comfort charge method if no tow option |

I've used both the front cig lighter socket (mine was made live by the dealer when i bought the car) with cable out under door and also the rear accessory socket with cable out between upper and lower tailgate. Being doing so for years. Works really well. Often left charging for months at a time. Ctek are highly recommended. |

I use a Ctek connected to a socket in the car without any problem at all.

I just connect my CTEK to the battery via the connector lead supplied with the CTEK |
