Strange boost-based noise inside cabin

So, bit of a strange one here, wondering if anyone can help please? Today in heavy rain I noticed a louder and louder noise coming from the drivers side. It sounds like a the output of a fan - rushed air. OK I think - turbo hose or the like. But the car is running fine, no smoke, no loss of performance. The noise is only under full boost over 30 mph or so (so revving it on the driveway does nothing). The mpg does look a little low, but nothing drastic.

It definitely is something boost based - but what and how? Car is a V8 diesel L322.

Thanks!

(Having just looked them up), I don't think so. It really seems to be coming from under the off-side dashboard, but only under boost at speed.

Turned out to be a blown turbo pipe - thanks anyway.
