Touch Screen issues

Can anyone tell me what's going on here with my touch screen? its very intermittent. The touch function of the screen still works. This pic below is with the radio on. Restarting the car usually clears it.

Rory.

Whats the image like when you change source ie. TV, reversing camera Sat nav etc? The image looks like it is garbled data which means the LCD is may be working but what is sending it the data is broken or being corrupted.
If you can get some pictures of differnet inputs you might be able to narrow it down.

Its the same in all screens. the touch functions work, Ie, it will change radio station but you just cant see it. I disconnected the fibre optic cables too and that only cut out the radio but not the fuzzy screen.

does the pattern on the screen change with time or with switching source or is it fixed all the time?

Looks like you need to replace the head unit or LCD. You might be able to get it repaired, there is a place in USA who might do them but you probably want somewhere more local. If you have no luck with it you can send it to me to look at but not having seen the inside of one I would be wokring blind.

if it is intermittent then it could be heat related.
