Hi Guys,

I've read the wiki for the gm 5 speed gearbox oil change, is there a different procedure for the zf 6 speed box? I've just ordered a kit and was going to do it myself.

Can be tricky to set the levels as the temp needs to be correct when filling it up. I bought the parts and got my local dealer to do the swap. Charged me £95 +vat, which seemed easier than scrubbing find under the car covered in oil! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

In Holland (and probably also in the UK) they sell these big plastic "tubs" to put your washing machine in. In case it leaks it holds quite a bit of water.

Mine is being used for oil changes and because they are not very high (say about 10 cm) they are easy to work with (did the Suzuki B-King a few days ago).

They are quite cheap and last a long time so it could save you a bit of money if you do it yourself and keep your driveway clean as a whistle  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

i did mine two weeks ago, very simple and easy to do, funnel and hose pipe are ideal for adding new fluid to box. Cheers

I used a cheap pump up spray can (10 liter type) one normally uses for garden pesticide spraying or foam washing type work. I used it heaps of times to fill the gearbox of the 2006 when I had the blown cooler issue. Very easy to do. Paid about 35 Euro for one of those. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
