Went to do shopping and car wont start. Looked at battery and black dot shows on top. It has an exide excell 95ah 800a fitted is this a bit under what it should be. Can I connect a mains booster or not. Please help as I'm stuck.

Battery not as good as it should be if the indicator is black, should be green, you can charge it ot see if it will recover but it might not. Do you do short runs ? can check the alternator when you get the FF running. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I cant see why not, I have charged my FF with the battery in the car, its a trickle charger though. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Check your alternator its pushing 14 volts + too, just to discount that. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

Hi.

You say it's a bit bigger at 100 amp, but the td6 needs a 110amp as standard I believe.

What amp was the old one ?

You should be fine unless you plan on moving to the Antarctic, plus the 5 year guarantee is good.

Mjd cheers. Old battery was 95ah and 800a . Handbook states 90ah to 110ah so I'm in the middle. Plus halfords not too far from me, so was easy to get to quick Wink
been out tonight and all working fine Thumbs Up
