Thanks Stan, so it automatically credits the seller, still means every secondhand car sold will have to be retaxed by the new keeper, so no longer a selling tool to ' 'old out yer 'and' |

technically if you buy a car it should still be taxed for your journey home ,[with insurance obviously] until the seller notifies the dvla of the sale.. ... - .- -.

Every time a car is sold they gain a months tax, since the seller gets a refund for any full months remaining, and the buyer has to get it taxed from the start of the current month.

Given that the system of refunds is computerised I don't understand why any tax refund tax can't be given from the date of sale notification ie in days rather than in whole months.

Just used the tax disk checker - It also gives you the MOT status.. - Everyone with a smartphone will be able to check the data whilst on the garage forecourt.. Using Reg No and Make... Plus the car dealer will not be able to cash your tax disc in.... Result. Current Cars

Contraband, get with the programme granddad,....yes there is a premium for only doing 6 months, I dont know the percentage difference |

Mmmmm, I thought the premium was to cover the extra admin in producing 2 tax discs per year. As that is now gone and the whole procedure is electronic how can they justify a premium... Previously..
