United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Hi

Received my IID tool BT version and activated and updated to latest version of firmware. Plugged it in to turn of the TPMS and I don't seem to have many options in the CCF section. The tool connects to my iPad and I get the message CCF been read but I only get about 6 ECUs showing on the screen (as per screenshot). Am I doing something wrong ? I know my car has TPMS because it tells me it is faulty everytime I start the car, I also know it has PDC but I don't seem to have any options for that either.

Could I possibly have some serious ECU issue which is preventing the iid tool seeing all the ECUs in the CCF or could the previous owner have damaged the CCF by trying to reprogram it with some other tool ?

Edited to include picture !! Twice it would appear Embarassed

Received mine (BT) this morning. Already in use. Just need to spend some time working out what is what.

The BT with iPad is definitely the way to go IMO. John

Can the non BT version be plugged into the car via a laptop for readings/ operation via the laptop as opposed to using the dash screen and steering controls please?

Thanks

The regular non Bluetooth IIDTool can be controlled by a Laptop via a USB cable. For now, the PC based controller replicates the integrated interface with an additional 2 line of text displayed. It will be updated in time.

You are welcomed

Hi Patrick

Where do we get the PC software from to control using laptop. I have not seen it on the website, or does it just pop up once plugged into laptop & car. Not seen any documenttion or instructions about this? (Using version 3) .

Sure Patrick will correct me if I am wrong ...

When you log into the site and go to MY Account isn't the option to download the PC software there alongside the firmware update too software. Seem to remember seeing it when I was downloading the updater. However I could be wrong (and quite often am according to SWMBO Embarassed 2008 TDV8

Hi Guys

The Controller software is installed in conjunction with the updater software (PC only) and will work on V3.0 and up. It can be found here :
Start->All Programs->GAP Diagnostic->IIDContol

Instructions on how to use it are included in the latest version of the user manual, page P10.

Cheers

P.S. SWMBO's : same issue here Whistle

Maybe it's time for a fault reader for SWMBOs? More people have them than Range Rovers. A BT version that allows diagnosis at a distance would be a good option. Mr. Green

Sorry for hijacking a sensible thread. Embarassed

It's one thing developing diagnostic software for a car. All cars are (pretty much) the same

SWMBO's? Don't fancy trying to understand them... Yes dear does just fine Whistle
