Hi Joe,

No, didn't need that one, just got these two :

http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=8540...;year=2006

Well, I could get that one as well to "lift" the phone up for a better view. I will try to post a clip from the driving cam later in the week to show what it does. In the meantime I will be looking for a permanent camera Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The Proclip is for "attaching" to the dash and then whatever phone you have, you need to get the right bracket. For shorter phones the extension piece Joe was talking about should come in handy Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Is it just me who hates having anything attached to the windscreen or anything plugged into the 12V socket?

PS: I even like the cupholder doors slid shut Laughing

I am surprised that with that mount you enough height to peer over the dash, but your picture tells a story Smile

I hate stuff attached to the screen as well especially with suction mounts! That's why I'm looking for a more permanent solution with a compact and discreet dash cam. And I plan to wire it up "invisibly" as much as possible.

My gripe with LR over the navigation is mainly because I hate having these aftermarket solutions. Even the phone bracket I don't like.

I like my cars and esp. the FFRR to look clean and original inside. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

There's a simple/nice suction device for iPhone here which could be fitted behind the mirror:

http://www.studioproper.com/products/m-lock-car-mount

I've just bought the iPad headrest mount, due to arrive any day. Notwithstanding the
dislike of screen mounts, what I'm liking is the easy magnetic-in/out, I can't be doing with
wired solutions for pretty much anything these days and I don't fancy ripping the trim off to
fit a cam permanently.

I'd like some feedback on how good these smartphone apps are if anyone's willing to
pass comment... Whistle 2010 FFRR VOGUE TDV8 Stornoway Grey - Current

Those brackets are looking heaps better than the "normal" ones. Still I would like to not have them at all.

On the 2010 my phone can't even look over the dash anymore, not even with my Brodit bracket.

Since I'm planning to install my dashcam (behind the mirror) I don't really care about that too much (although I'd prefer not to have the dashcam but in this day and age it is almost a must).

I still need to make a nice bracket for the cam though that makes it look "professional" Wink MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
