Fog Light removal

Guys

I have removed the fog lights and replaced them with DRL's. The Fog lamp wires are taped up incase i need them at a later date, but now i am getting a "Fog lamp warning" thrown up.

Does anyone know if i can fit a resistor across the plug, or if i plug a ballast resistor in if that will stop it?

Cheers

resister, or switch it off with an iidtool...

or wire any bulb/holder/light unit to 'fool' the system into thinking that something is there.. ... - .- -.

Ive yet to invest in an IID Tool. Would love one i can play with settings with, but thats £300 that can wait for another pay day

another thought, if the dummy bulb/holder is placed in the engine compartment some where then you have extra illumination for engine repairs when you break down.. ... - .- -.
