My Giverney Range Rover

A zoomed distance shot I took this morning. I think it captures the classic lines of the L322 really well Very Happy

It also highlights why I like no mudflaps & no side steps...

Note for the cynics: I am not about to sell it Rolling Eyes

I don't mind mud flaps (mine has them) but I don't like side steps.

Question for you though Gaz, if you like the classic lines why are you always putting facelifts on? The later facelifts do nothing for the classic look.

Agreed. Once they're a few years older that opinion will become more accepted - nobody would "update" a Suffix A with later grille and bumpers.

I am not talking about the "Range Rover Classic" I think the 2012+ L322 is the "Classic" Range Rover design WITHOUT MUDFLAPS OR STEPS.....

I believe the L322 evolved over 10 years and was/is truly at its best post 2012.

I'm only talking about the L322. I much prefer the look of the earlier L322's.

I just don't understand how you dislike the sidesteps and mud flaps as they disturb the 'classic lines' (your words), yet like the big bumper and chinzy grill.

Each to their own - not a judgement call.

Yes differing opinions thats all.

I really do prefer the 2012 look to the 2002-2005 Flat Front or 2006-2009 dipped bumper.

For me the front end including the new lights, bumper, grille, splitter, fogs etc are all better and the 2012 rear lights look much better than the older ones.(including 2010+)

I my opinion the 2012+ Supercharged L322 is best looking Range Rover ever. Controversial but my opinion none the less Thumbs Up

PS: Not keen on the Design Kit version though just the Standard 2012 SC as per my facelift

I like them all and the later revisions I think are subtle but worth while; and with all , I'm a fan of clean lines, no mudflaps and no steps (although the deployable steps are smart IMO). We don't really 'need' mudflaps or steps though.

And that Giverny green Range Rover is a fine looking vehicle Thumbs Up

I would like to see my 2010 next to a similar coloured 2012 to see the differences. I do agree that the latest L322s 2010 and up are the pinnacle and I'm not saying that because I have one Smile

I do agree the steps do detract from the looks (my 4.2 has them and I don't like them but won't remove them either). The mudflaps, I see the point but again not a big issue for me, so I plan to leave them on the 5.0.

Yesterday I drove the VERYdirty RAV4 in a typical Singapore downpour and it came out squeaky clean, including the caked mud down the sides. So mudflaps are no plus here Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
