I intend to do this and sort the small rust bubbles in the rear door area. Hope to get it all done in a month or so.

If your Rangie is getting a bit old, take off the sill trims, push fit fittings underneath and then just pull it hard to release the numerous clips, and have a look at the rear of the sills.... If you need to remove the jacking points, prise out the plastic peg in the middle and they pull off

I've left mine with vasalene in and just check it every so often. I don't spray water at it.

Dragging up an old thread, but having had my ever ever ever so slightly rusty arches sorted yesterday, I've also bought the plastic strip. My rather daft question is, the original strip on the rear of the arch is coming away, however the arch itself is fine. Am I best just to replace it with the new plastic ones or try and get something to stick it back down?

nicedayforit Could you please post a picture of these in place? I would like to compare the appearance to the LR strips. I really wanted one continuous strip front to back so I bought something similar to the ebay link in rubber.
