Does your newly purchased RR have larger than 18" alloy's on by chance? If so, the vibration is absolutely normal... Plenty to read on the net about the driveshaft vibration issue (hence JLR only selling the early TD6 with 18" wheels) In 2006 JLR made the driveshafts a couple of mm longer or shorter??? to resolve these issues The 4.4 petrol model had 19" & 20" wheels so your car may have been retro fitted with petrol model sized wheels Most on here with TD6's fitted with bigger wheels just put up with the vibration and or put in "N" when stopped at traffic lights etc |

Probably down to a driveshaft or hub unit then my friend... Well worth getting checked out by a gearbox specialist though |
