That's what I read too in Top Gear Mag yesterday where they have a short test on the 4.4TDv8 Autobiography and also make some very rude comments about Tata and them not wanting to spend the £1.1billion it cost BMW to develope the L322 on the next generation FFRR....................... their verdict is to buy a 2010MY or earlier - 2011 and the next RR will be too Bling for most European owners as they are being designed to appeal to Russian and Chinese owners where all that glistens is what matters............... 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Well Tata have done a good job so far in Jaguar, and LR sales are very much on the up. The new 4.4 tdv8 is exceptional. I have seen one (non sports pack) and to be honest it looks much the same as a 2010 MY you need to know what you are looking for. The flat front grill has been used on the Sport autobiography in recent months. As I have said I am very unsure about it, but for the rest TopGear are talking rubbish. The Autocar test car looked very classy. I do think LR need to sort their publcity art work out though, they are making the cars look very harsh in images, wheras in the light of day they look far classier. I know people who are working on the new L322 and it will be a great car. When the current car was launched it was pretty bling for the time. Steve Cropley is a seasoned pro, and he felt the 2011 MY was close to perfection. If you go on the international web site you can see a few photos. |

Someone's head needs to roll for what has happened to the look of the Range Rover.

That's as maybe. It doesn't change the fact that the cars are becoming increasingly vulgar. It says something when the car's creator wanted to distance himself from what they'd become. |
