Koolertron touchscreen upgrade in RR2003 Vogue, no sound

I have recently purchased a touch screen upgrade to my RR2003 Vogue( Koolertron, Chinese model)
I am having trouble with the wiring harness they have sent.
I have managed to get the screen working and all components of the unit work i.e GPS, DVD, Stereo, etc
But I cant get no sound.
I have searched this forum and others but after a mind bending four hours, I am now asking my fellow Range rover owners if they have any idea what I need to do.

Many thanks
Andy

If it's the Chinese type unless it was the older non screen setup it won't as it's got amps in the boot you have to rewire all speakers and such if it is _____________________________________________________

I was sent a new loom with the stereo that runs to the rear of the car that connects to the rear of the car.

The connecter on the far left fits into the little silver box (tuner box I think). Not to sure were the four wires go.
The connecter in the middle connected to the cars wiring loom.
The connecter on the right does not fit anywhere.

I also have an antenna cable which I presume also fits into the tuner box.

I hope this helps .
many thanks

I would imagine you take the existing connection from the bm54 radio unit in the boot, connect it to one end of your new loom, and then connect the other end of the new loom to the bm54.

Not done it myself though...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

If the BM54 is the little silver box I have done that. it all worked but no sound. the cable on the right does not go any where. I also connected the antenna from the head unit to the little square looking connection on the top of the silver box. still no sound.
many thanks

I'm just guessing here, but there was a Nokia phone kit loom attached to my car which I removed, and I had to take the smaller sub blocks out of the big connector that's on the car, and put them in the same place on the new plug, before attaching back to the bm54 if that makes any sense ?

So it may be that if you just swap the plugs, not all the existing connections are there. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

On your pic above, one of the sub blocks is a white plug.....

Yes, that's the bm54 module......

Sorry, looking at your other pics, the sub blocks are not there. You will def need to move them across as you swap the plugs.

All the wires that are on your big plug now, will need to be there after you have finished.

Pretty sure that will sort your issue, as the sub blocks take the aux in feeds I believe.

I know what you are saying........

Essentially, whats there as standard needs to still be connected and pass through your new unit I believe.

I have not changed mine I'm afraid so don't have first hand knowledge.

Others have on here and will be able to advise better...... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Good point Stan......

I can see from the pics, that the left hand and middle plugs will be to do with the big multi plug on the BM54 module. They match the profile.

As stock, the BM54 then sends line level signals to the DSP unit, that feeds the speakers.

If the standard plug to the BM54 is totally removed, there will be no feed to the DSP and thus no sound.

Somehow you still need to feed the DSP.......so the inputs (to the BM54) need to come from the connections on the new unit, but the outputs need to go into the DSP on existing standard wiring, hence the looms having to be linked together.

Perhaps I've mislead you with the sub connectors. It'll be something to do with that.

What does the plug on the right on the pics on the new unit do then ?

Has that got a label on ? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
