Had exactly the same problem about a month ago. Decided to park on some grass outside a house in a cul-de-sac. This, admittedly, after some exceptionally heavy rain. I drove onto the grass at a crawl and just stopped. Nothing helped.

Bear in mind that I was in full view of 5 houses and I didn't want to tear up the grass their children play on, so I gave up easily.

Pirelli Scorpion tyres, too. Momentum, as has been rightly said, is the key. And treating the accelerator like a cigarette you wish to extinguish.

I got a lift home and easily pulled my S/C out with my 110 (on huge Cooper STT's).

In 7 years of owning Land Rovers, this was the very first time I've ever been stuck. Hugely embarrassing. Embarassed

Wet soggy grass is probably the slipperiest surface to encounter, have seen all makes cars and tyres struggle.

Traction control will not help as all wheels will rotate at same speed so will not activate.

Pumping the brakes fast while lightly pressing throttle can confuse the system so it kicks in Looking right now for the FFRR ultimate upgrade

Moving from normal AT's to a set of BFG MT's, the difference was like night and day off road, moving from BFG MT's to Simex was an even bigger jump!

At work we call it green ice. Even with mud terrains, a slight slope on wet grass & it's over. On a big slope we try & head for the longer straggly grass & accelerate down the hill. Otherwise the wheels will lock & you become a passenger in an accelerating sledge Shocked

Customers love it
