A few reactions from my point of view

I have been doing LPG for ages (I'm a Dutchman..) I did run a FFRR V8 on LPG for two years, no problems what so ever, the Jag engine seem to need more attention as the BMW on LPG though. It might be weird coming from a classiccar petrolhead, but I do like LPG not only for it's price but also for being a lot friendlier to the environment sorry.

I would never buy a diesel @SFM, I hate it, sorry again

The idea that 'so servicing will have been the minimum he could get away ' just because an alternative cheaper fuel has been used to run the vehicle is the most pathetic statement I have ever read on here. A vehicle must be kept in tip top condition to get the most from a gas conversion and that means decent plugs, regular servicing as makers recommendations
LPG burns cleaner than petrol. This means less emissions out of the exhaust and less carbon deposits in the engine. These deposits are very abrasive and can contribute to engine breakdowns. The oil and spark plugs will also last longer. Just because Richie Rich on here can afford the UK's overpriced petrol doesn't mean us peasants should steer clear of the V8 unless we too can also afford unleaded. It's a known fact that gas burns cleaner than petrol and this helps keep the engine oil cleaner and less contaminated.

If it ticks all your boxes then buy it, not because it does or does not tick the boxes for others  Should've been old enough to know better...doh!

I agree with what Dave says.

We have two P38's that both run on single point LPG. One of which was converted when we bought it and we bought the kit to convert the 2nd one.

They also both run a set of £600 performance chips.

Both have their oil and filter changed every 6000 miles and the air, fuel and pollen filters changed every 12000 miles. They are actually serviced above and beyond the manufacturers recommendations.

If the slightest of problems is picked up on it is dealt with straight away.

To automatically assume that because a car has been converted to run on a cheaper fuel that it's been poorly serviced/maintained is just utter crap I'm afraid and to be honest is border line offensive.

However, that's just my 2p worth

The car in question looks lovely It's a really rare car being the normally aspirated AJV8 on a facelift model Would be really interested to hear how you get on with it if you buy it.

Well Robert, I think this looks like a good car for several reasons.
Firstly, I have an AJV8 and would highly recommend - it's superb, and relatively rare (unlike all those SC's ).
It is even rarer being a late model with Terrain Response - I've only seen one other !
Secondly, low numbers of owners means happy owners - the advert reads as though it has been kept by an enthusiast.
Considering the LPG conversion was carried out some time ago, I reckon that's a good point. I can't speak from personal experience but you can Robert !
I can't see how investing several thousands of pounds on an LPG conversion is running the car cheaply ?

David, good point well made and you managed not to belittle people who have a different opinion as per the previous poster, we buy and run our RRs because they are what they are, in the big scheme of things the fuel is incidental IMHO

It looks rather nice to me as well.

300bhp in most cars is plenty. But in an FF it's 'adequate'.

The price doesn't appear any cheaper than its quicker brother but as it has the interior you desire and two sets of wheels / tyres, then it scores on desirability for you.

It does look very well kept and the description resonates with that of an enthusiast. Only a full inspection will validate that, so that's clearly your next step before purchase.

Looks nice enough, but seriously... Please check out the LPG conversion as to weather it has been done correctly...

Incidentally why not an SC? What's the benefit in your eye's of a NA AJ over an SC AJ?

I'm waiting for the response of the owner, because I do not need the plate he offers. It does tick all my boxes, although my ffrr has the same color with an off white interior. If this works out I'll offer her on here for 6k and a donation to the forum.

The face lifted AJV8 is a great car and one of my favourites
