air Suspension fault

hi gang got problem with above think I might have a leak on front drivers strut.

came up with air Suspension inactive max speed 35 mph

put hawkeye on said to much energy required to raise front,

inflated with hawkeye all went up ok but drops over a few hours

active values are all inactive bar" front axle signal active"

lights on switch ok but wont rise or fall lights just flash (not all at the same time )

could this be a leaking bag or a stuck sensor.

any help ??

thanks in advance pete have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis.

Can you get to off road height and do the wheelarch lift / soapy water to check for leaks in the airbags? If that is not it then a trace back along the pipework / connections, cross link valve behind the inner wheelarch, then onto the reservoir connections and reservoir itself. .

the switch to raise lower only makes the corresponding light flash, doesn't physically alter the height,

when inflated with hawkeye can hear air from drivers front wheel area but that's been like that for ages and stops when at normal hight.

You are going to keep on getting faults until you replace the airbag with a hole in it .

Best place to buy struts AFAIK. We have no affiliation, BTW.

The Dunlops had probs with the strut bearing a while back IIRC. Either go with the Delphi's (hardly more expensive these day) or make sure you ask about the probs.
And replace the pair at the same time.

It is easy once you have done it! Will rely on the two big nuts at the hub playing nicely, they can be a bit of a fight, so ensure you have lots of easing oil/WD40 and a good breaker bar. It is worth removing the inner wheelarch for better access to everything. Have fun! .
