last year when the car (03TD6) was MOT'd there was an advisory about the pixels fading on the dash and the milage not being clear ,the bloke said that it will be a possible fail if it gets mush worse , just wondering if anyone else has actually had a fail due to this issue ,the next question is does anyone know of anywhere in the northeast of england who does the repair . thanks

The odometer isn't a testable item for the MOT so your car can't be failed for that reason.
The speedometer has to work correctly only.

hi birchyman, I have an 04 hse pixels went on the radio found an auto electrician in sheffield who does them i can PM you his number if you want it, dont know him personally but well pleased with the job he did for me

I did mine myself. £20 for the bits from eBay. The hardest part was removing the wooden trim pieces from the end of the dashboard. Changing the contact strip is easy enough, I used nail polish remover to clean the contacts.
