Could be a lot worse. It could resemble the kind of tat that BarryBoys bolt on to their 1-litre Corsas, you know a massive fart can with a 4" flue-liner exit.

Personally I feel the same way about side steps on the basis I think they look naff. They do have a purpose, i.e to allow short people to get in the car but that doesn't make then any less ugly IMO. Loads of people like them though.

Each to their own. Some people might want the look of visible exhaust tips without the drone of an after market exhaust. Personally I can relate to wanting the peace & quiet but I also prefer hidden exhausts.

One or two have commented on how quiet my V8 Disco is and have advised a stainless exhaust. Why? One of the main attractions is the relative silence over the log burner. Different folks.
the pair of exhaust tip in the link does not aid in sound making or in exhaust gas escaping,,they are just bolted at the back of any range rover,,no exhaust pipe goes anywhere near it,the real exhaust pipe sits 2 foot further down, they are for display purpose only..

It's an interesting one this and it got me thinking. I've done a number of mods on my RR that are purely cosmetic because I think it looks better.
1. Fitted and sprayed in body colour wing mirror caps.
2. Sprayed the grill on the bonnet body colour.
3. Fitted later side grills and had them colour coded as well.
4. Carbon wrapped some interior bits

I'm also thinking about changing the fitted supercharger grill back to original and yes you guessed - having it body coloured as well.

Also fitted some things that do have practical impact, remapped the engine, fitted rear mud flaps, bluetooth upgrade and sill protectors etc.

I don't think the stainless steel exhaust tips are for me but Powerful make them for a reason - someone wants them as they think it makes their RR look better.

Unfortunately the second hand value of our beloved rangie has fallen into the territory of the type of people who think these mods are the business.A lot of money for something that doesnt even connect to the standard exhaust and the concept of hiding the exhaust tips out of sight in the first place has been completely lost on them Rolling Eyes

as for that fuel cap Stan & Steve , ffs Laughing Laughing Laughing

yeah, but the link says, 'wont burn any children' etc as they are dummy tips, after driving over one, I doubt it will matter if I burn it on the way out.

I cant argue really as mine came to me with two twin binoculars sticking out, on a 'performance' exhaust. I would like to chop them off and have something much more subtle. keeping the stainless box, I sort of prefer the SC under-chrome ones look. if anything just a tad longer,

those dummy tips will look real silly when the car is cold and 'steaming' and not coming out the tips!

I've seen a FF with that very same fuel fill cap fitted Shocked It was in a premier inn car park in Lincoln. The whole car was covered in plastic chrome, and when I say the whole car I mean the whole car Shocked Pillars/grills the lot. The car was grey with no black to be seen just plastic chrome!
I couldn't stop looking at it as I walked along side it, the driver got out and seen me, He had a big smile on his face, he must of thought I was admiring it Rolling with laughter As you say "each to their own" but FFS. Wish I'd took a photo.

Managed to get my "exhaust" tips off. For 2 bolts took near 2 hours and I ended up cutting through the bolts as I could only turn a few mm per time with the wrench.

Now looks much better. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
