the most useless mod for a range..dear oh dear..why.!!!

looking through powerful u.k website i saw these and i had to ask myself, why would anyone pay aŁ100 for this.?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Twin-stainless-s...27db3e06da it does not aid the exhaust in any way , iv'e come across many mods, most are a credit to who designed it and beat the stealerships price but this..really !!!,might as well place a diamond necklace around a pigs neck.!! come on ...any one else come across useless mods for our much beloved range...??? please share your experience with us all, this should be interesting..
regards steve

It is useless, but I've seen worse and for much more money.

Not all that useless.... some people like the look of chrome tailpipes, people like to do different things to their own cars Whistle It may not be your or my taste but it's hardly the most offensive modification Whistle Now: BMW 640d M Sport, Alpine White
Gone: Range Rover 4.4 V8 Vogue, Zambezi Silver, Charcoal Oxford Leather
Also: Mk1 Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Brilliant Black

Are they the ones that bolt on to the chassis legs? Not connected to the exhaust!

These are on mine, they were on it when purchased and will be coming off once I get a few other bits sorted. Don't look bad just not much point in them There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t

I don't mind seeing proper mods on LR/RR, My D1 v8 has twin pipes stainless through out and sound sweet, but ones for just show..... why Confused , what's the point, either get a proper conversion or don't as they look daft....just IMO If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

yeah thats them paul... so on a cold day start the exhaust fume can be seen coming behind the wheel as they do normally, not from the two shiny serve no purpose exhaust tail pipes...

Not that I would buy these but it does open the tin of worms that is "why on earth modify a Ff?"
The FF is a boring car to look at and a unmodified car looks unfinished. But as stated, each car is owned by an individual and tastes vary, so don't knock it Bow down TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!
Other toys in the cupboard.......

Could be a lot worse. It could resemble the kind of tat that BarryBoys bolt on to their 1-litre Corsas, you know a massive fart can with a 4" flue-liner exit.

Personally I feel the same way about side steps on the basis I think they look naff. They do have a purpose, i.e to allow short people to get in the car but that doesn't make then any less ugly IMO. Loads of people like them though.

Each to their own. Some people might want the look of visible exhaust tips without the drone of an after market exhaust. Personally I can relate to wanting the peace & quiet but I also prefer hidden exhausts.

One or two have commented on how quiet my V8 Disco is and have advised a stainless exhaust. Why? One of the main attractions is the relative silence over the log burner. Different folks.

think theres a huge difference between modifying a vehicle to sticking something on it which serve no purpose,if i was to hang two 5ltr tins of paint by the handle one on each wing mirror of my range rover and drive around, would any one call that modifying.?? if the two shiny exhaust pipes had exhaust gas coming out of them at the back end then yeah great, the person has modified the exhaust, changed it from coming from the near the back wheel to it coming out of the bumper... this ain't modifying, this is stick on...this is the point i'm making.. look at the whole page on the link...
