I guess with the newer six cylinder diesel in the D4/RRS it kind of makes the current TDV8 redundant.

LR claim the 4.4TDv8 won't go into the RRS................ they said the same of the 3.6 but it made it and was universally acclaimed as the diesel engine the car should have had from day 1. I would say that it is the best car I have ever owned, great fun when you want play silly but a very comfortable (although the suspension is a little hard for one) long haul cruiser and the V8 exhaust rumble when you planted your foot to the floor was addictive if not terribly fuel efficient. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Big! I brought it up from London to the North East yesterday, via Cheshire. Averaged about 28mpg, including having a play over the penines on the way. Well impressed with the comfort, I was fed up of the rock solid Msport rattling my teeth out over the bumps. Very impressed. And it looked good sitting outside my house this morning. Sad, I know.
