No, they tend to take a while... My best guess is thats the time the ECU's take to settle down... |

Having tested the car this morning as advised by Craig, without load a healthy 14.8v. Once loaded as described, the voltage drops to 11.73v

Part numbers should read YLE 500440 & YLE500340 , typo I expect.

Just checked mine using the inboard voltage readout, read 13.5 to 14.5 pretty much constantly however did drop down to 11.5 when I threw a load of gadgets at it..... But that was with both screens blowers lights and seats on?

I would just wait and see if it goes it goes. Any whinning noise when accelerating and decelerating? Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Good yes impending doom imminent it's a tell tale sign happened me whined for about month and a half. Really noticeable when cold up to about. 2000 rpm then it's drowned out by engine but then it returns when decelerating. Mine then got worse and after a non start the following day the red battery light appeared so luckily had enough juice to get to garage. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

No whining yet. Pretty ok waiting for it to go but have got a few continental trips planned later in the year so will need to be done for then. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

How was the surgery? Easy enuff? I am pretty handy with a set of spanners but the level of cant be bothered to do it if its going to hurt me is quite high!
