What module do you think is duff? I have a duff Nokia module and have been meaning to take the connector off and connect some of the fibre cable I have to make a loopback tester. Previously..

Initially thought it was the amp, so I bought one of bay. Tried it at the weekend still the same. I did notice the TMC module was shorting against anything metal when it touched so I am thinking it is goosed. There is a female connector in the bottom of the boot space but I didn't get the part number off it, I will try and get it at the weekend if no one can help on here.

If you have a fibre cutter I would just be pushing a link of cable into the end of the connector just to prove if the system will fire up. As long as the faces are touching it will work for testing. Previously..

Thanks Contraband, I think I will just do that. I have a load of old ST, LC and SC cables that I can play about with to try and mock something up that can do the job. I was just being lazy |

Got the part number from the connector in the boot, I thought I should just get it and do a search on google to see if anybody sold it. The part number is tyco 1-1394916-1 and guess what can't find it anywhere. Land Rover must do a loopback for test purposes. Or do they just replace everything at the customers expense....yeah. Traded in my Audi TT 225 for my Range Rover TD6 Autobiography in Java Black. Range Rover now sold. |

You have a spare amp? Could you somehow plug that in in place of the TMC module to utilise its MOST port? Previously..

Never though of that contraband good idea. I will try it at the weekend. Does the circuit not require to be amplified to travel through the loop?
