As its such a new vehicle and obviously still under warranty, i would get it checked by your main dealer pal... Ordinarily it would point to a poorly serviced older vehicle (not having had the fuel filter changed in years & years but is obviously not the case with yours sir... |

The fuel filter (and ts electrical connection) are in the engine bay and way out of harmful waters way. (Unless you were wading over the bonnet) so I doubt it was a fault, The tank and all the lines are sealed and would not get water ingress unless you have a leak which would be obvious. Craigs suggestion of the water in cheap or supermarket fuel is probably the correct reason and just a coincidence after you went through the puddle.

never use supermarket diesel - only BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power.

I had the same issue on my 2012 Westminster. Started up the car one morning and headed into the villiage, halfway there the warning "WATER IN FUEL" popped up on the dash. The engine was running fine.

I had this last year. Same engine and MY. I called LR Assist as there is nothing in the handbook! They said I needed to have the fuel tank drained because it was dodgy fuel if it came up again. But it didn't. It also came up after going through water as you describe. Sounds like a dodgy sensor to me. |

I had this message pop up today. I had just driven (slowly) through a large puddle. After a minute, it went out on its own. Can you point me to the rubber seal please.
