With power comes responsibility!

As we bow down to RRUK for the invention of FullFat, we must think not only of the L322 and L405 but also of later generations of the car.

Unless I am wrong the car is a Land Rover Range Rover (e.g. Ford Mondeo or Lotus Elite) and it will always be only just that, although it will have a generation number to go with this for production purposes (L322/L405/L50?/L60?/????)

Very often car companies gave "Mark" numbers to distinguish models (e.g. MG Midget Mk II/III/IV), so we could look down that road - more later.

Calling it the new Fullfat will only work for as long as it is the new one, what happens when the next gen comes through?

Another alternative is to use a set of words to identify the generations of car that may or may not be related, we have that so far: Classic/P38/FullFat/?????/?????/. These next names don't necessarily have to mean anything, but will help us define. Just what are those names? Creamy / Lardy / Butter / Rich / Goldie / Smooth / Whipped / Double ........

Now back to numbers. To me this is the logical approach, only brought about by the fact that we now have two full fat land rover range rovers. Simply using numbers about doing some backwards in time work would mean:

Classic = FF01
P38 = FF02
L322 = FF03
L405 = FF04

and so on. This rather spoils the first idea that came to me which was to have a play on words for the L405:

FullFat2 (or FullFatToo or TooFullFat even!) .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

Since the 405 has got everything which is necessary, appropriate and possible, how about "full monty" FMRR

The L405 looks a bit of a dumpling, rounded and lumpy compared to the L322, so...
