I've always taken the term FFRR to mean the full, proper Range Rover (NOT Sport, NOT Evoque which are both nice cars, but NOT Range Rovers in the manner we all understand the name.) Classics, and p38s both fit the bill as 'proper' Range Rovers, but never needed to be called FFRR because there wasn't any confusion back then. I do think they qualify and should be welcome on the forum.

The L405 is the direct replacement for the L332 'FFRR' so it's definitely an FFRR.

I think the only question is the NEW Sport. The old Sport was a D3 rebodied. The new one has the proper Range Rover chassis so there's an argument for its inclusion. I don't know whether I agree with this argument, but it could be interesting.

My go

I read this post as soon as Stan put it up, i have done nothing all day apart from thinking about it, also reading the replies. Not a lot of work done today TBH.
One day the majority of peeps on here will have L405 or the newer version that LR will undoubtedly produce next. This maybe in the next 7 years when some of us will be too old to care about by then anyway.

If the 405 is the biggest and Best RR that land Rover make then it must be a FFRR. Simples

BIGGEST AND BEST RR IS FFRR

We have a FFRR322 and now a FFRR405

As a noob to the FF fold maybe my opinion is a lowly one Bow down but is there not a theme we could continue here?

SSRR - Semi Skimmed

FFRR - Full Fat

GTRR - ..... Question

GOLD TOP

Gold - for the price, Top - of the range - plus still dairy related.

Stan my brain is still hurting. Thumbs Up

The L322 was the biggest and the best that LR made up until 2013
The L405 is now in production until further notice

So in my eyes on this dreary January night after my day of deep thought i'm saying that at this moment they are both FFRR's

As mentioned before by Jayboy and I think 2008HSE, the FFRR moniker only came into use after the smaller options became available, therefore it seems logical (to me) that the L405 is the current FFRR, however as the Classic and P38 were the only variants available at the time then they need no differential name. Thumbs Up

As an aside I am not a fan of the L405 and its siblings however you can't stop progress Muriel Thumbs Up
