^ I agree... I think if the L405 is the evolution of the RR's and we call it a FFRR, and we exclude the RRS and the EVOQUE, by the logic the classic and the p38 also should be called by FFRR's, because the L322 is the evolution of the P38A and the P28A was the evolution of the classic. I always thought the term "full fat" encompassed any only "Range Rover" model. So not including the Sport etc.

Most seem to talk about the latest as the "L405" on here. Even the section devoted to the new one is "Range Rover 2013" or "2013/L405" I must admit that I don't refer to mine as a FFRR and in the same way I do not naturally think about the P38A or Classic as FFRR.

Does there? The new RRS is just called the new RRS. Why can't this be the new FF? We call the P38 "the P38" and the Classic "the Classic". Full Fat only became necessary to distinguish between lesser Rangies and the Meisterwerk since the introduction of the RRS. It was not an L322 specific name, it was a way of setting the top of the range apart for those that don't understand. |

Following on from the "Emporer" line of thought we, at the risk of intense flaming, should be referring to the Classic, P38A and the L322 in the past tense and the FFRR as the current RR on sale?

as an example, the hercules transport plane was affectionately called the fat albert and its replacement [a400m] was nicknamed the grizzly or atlas...
