New sport looks a lot nicer than old one, AND the L405....which has now been put beyond the reach of many simply by the cost increases.

Not even sure why I posted....won't own I shouldn't think ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

New sport interior does not come close to the finish on the L405 , esp when you look closely, design yes very similar but finish not. Far to many gone...

Interesting comment about the Sport. I didn't like the old one. The new one is much, much improved.

I am NOT in the market for a new model because they're too pricey for me (and that goes for ANY new car). When I was shopping around for my FFRR about two years ago, I checked out some RRS and Disco3s. The prices didn't seem any better for comparable cars than the FFRR. I wonder if that will hold in the future. Will there be that much of a price premium for a 5-6 year old L405 vs a 5-6 year off new RRS?

Well....
I picked up my ex-demo 405 yesterday morning. Massive saving on a new one and although 5 months old, has 3000 on the clock and totally unmarked inside and out.
Although it's a lovely car, the old one feels more like home when I drove it tonight.
Mixed emissions now as to keep the old one or not. Whistle TDV8 Vogue SE 2009.
TDV8 Sport. Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!
Other toys in the cupboard.......

You will find the L405 just gets better and better the more you drive it , if you have it with active dynamics it's an amazing bit of kit when you want to push on a bit with it. Thumbs Up Far to many gone...

Out of interest, what is the dealer offering? Trade-in value was laughable against a new one (presumably because they can still sell all the L405s they can get).

Congrats! Can you please provide more detail i.e. Which model, and an indication of what 'massive discount' means? An approx. percentage would be fine. Has the amount of discount been influenced by the number of options? MY23 D350 HSE

If a dealer offers me £4K above trade when mine goes on the market after Christmas that will be a result. Very Happy

That seems like a very generous offer.
