Yeah, neither driver should be allowed on the roads there.

its difficult enough trying to join busy motorways and these truck drivers just puddle along at the same speed..it should be law that you have to move to the second lane when theres a slip road coming up... ... - .- -.

If you're going to do that, you may as well just have the inside lane become the exit slip & the entry slip just becomes the inside lane the other side - you'd just construct the roads differently - they do that in some areas now. |

The way that is shown is because the camera has a " Fisheye view " which the driver has not when sitting in the seat of an HGV you do not get the same view as the camera.

Mick, I have done. I was a trucker for over 10 years fella and one of the main reasons I packed up was the rise of the unprofessional moron (usually agency) driver who didn't have to give a toss about anything. No job to lose as they simply end up at another firm who use agencies. All they did was drive standards and wages down whilst they ruined the reputation we used to have as being the Knights of the road. Then we have the rise of the modern truck with automatic gearboxes, power assisted everything and not one single part to make the driver drive defensively. Now, give most of those ejits an Eaton twinsplitter and watch them try to sort out a box full of neutrals when they're rushing at everything. Honestly Mick, 95% of today's drivers wouldn't be able to drive the truck I learned on. (1979 Scammell Crusader) |
