Yeah, neither driver should be allowed on the roads there.

Car driver = utter moron with no spatial awareness. No clue that he should be giving way and planning his motorway join a lot more carefully. Makes the case for re-testing every XX years.

Truck driver = ignorant idiot. He would have known what was going on and he never even lifted his foot. Anyone with a brain would have backed off when that car driver hesitated. Typical modern day trucker sadly.

I agree, the car drivers stupidity/ignorance of the situation caused the initial problem, but I suspect the HGV driver decided he wasn't going to give way, or at the least slow down a bit and assumed that the car driver would back off, or at least not pull out.
Reminds me a typical BTCC overtaking incident, just a small nudge on the O/S rear corner to cause the car to spin. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

its difficult enough trying to join busy motorways and these truck drivers just puddle along at the same speed..it should be law that you have to move to the second lane when theres a slip road coming up... ... - .- -.

If you're going to do that, you may as well just have the inside lane become the exit slip & the entry slip just becomes the inside lane the other side - you'd just construct the roads differently - they do that in some areas now.

The way I see it if the car driver just got on with it and Censored off he would of got away with it, cant curse the trucker really, I mean would you take on a 40 odd tonner?.
Some times you cant get in to the second lane cos some muppet is hanging around next to your trailer.....its nearly happened to me when I was towing with the Landcruiser vx and challenge 90 when traveling on the M40 Evil or Very Mad If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

The way that is shown is because the camera has a " Fisheye view " which the driver has not when sitting in the seat of an HGV you do not get the same view as the camera.

And to make it Law to move out to the second lane when a slip road comes up is utter pish ....

So what if an HGV or any other car cannot get out to the next lane , so it would mean slowing down to let some Censored out that cannot read the road ...

Try sitting in an HGV at first hand before you start berating them , then you will see the view they have Censored Censored Censored Censored

Yes, let's not have a go at HGV drivers.

....even if they do murder prostitutes.

Mick, I have done. I was a trucker for over 10 years fella and one of the main reasons I packed up was the rise of the unprofessional moron (usually agency) driver who didn't have to give a toss about anything. No job to lose as they simply end up at another firm who use agencies. All they did was drive standards and wages down whilst they ruined the reputation we used to have as being the Knights of the road.

Then we have the rise of the modern truck with automatic gearboxes, power assisted everything and not one single part to make the driver drive defensively. Now, give most of those ejits an Eaton twinsplitter and watch them try to sort out a box full of neutrals when they're rushing at everything. Honestly Mick, 95% of today's drivers wouldn't be able to drive the truck I learned on. (1979 Scammell Crusader)
