I like the look of the L405. I think it's grown on me. However, I don't think it looks any better than the L322. Given the prices of most L322s, it makes the choice clear! In a few years, when I can get a Vogue spec L405 for around £10,000 I may change my mind. Mr. Green

the £90-£100k price tag on the l405 is pretty much well beyond most members means so the l322 is the most viable option and you do get a lot of car for a lot less money.. ... - .- -.

Stan , i totally agree

Think that is one of the reasons the late L322's are holding there money so well at the moment All the L322 with later suspension 10MY was it ? are fetching good money from what i have seen.
The jump is massive £££.

The L322 is a well sorted car still has a few foibles of course it's JLR after all Far to many gone...

The L405 is revolutionary to drive when compared to the L322 but you have to have it in 4.4 or 5.0 spec to really get the benefit as the active dynamics suspension makes a massive difference to how it handles.

The L405 looks a little bland to me and will not age well but the L322 is now looking very dated in a classic sort of way. Like an older Porsche 911 the L322 will always look good.

Can someone who owns me tell me if they have made using the indicators difficult, or are they in fact fitted????

I'm assuming that must the case - as I'm sure no-one would be driving one and simply not indicating

Perhaps there's a suggestion that L405 drivers are arrogant and feel they don't need to let other road users know their intention to change lane, pull out etc etc? Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

I have yet to see one actually use an indicator when required - hence my question :D

Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

On first seeing the L405 I thought it looked almost like a fish's head at the front end/ side vents. Don't ask me why.

There are a fair few L405 around these parts and the more I see them, the DNA/ external evolution from the L322 is apparent. It's a fine looking car. So is the L322.

Of the People who know that the L405 is the latest offering to directly replace the L322 (not everyone does know all about Range Rovers), there will be some shallow people who think that those with the L322 simply cannot afford the L405; and in many cases, they're probably right. So what!

There will also be some canny people who think it's not necessary and is foolish to contemplate shelling out £80k plus for one when they can have what they traditonally associate a Range Rover to be; and in their MY/ spec of choice, for figures that could easily be between £30 and £70k less than the L405.

If I could justify it, I would have a 4.4SDV8 VSE in the L405, but the prices are simply too high.

The amount of fun you can have in an L322 5.0 SC for a third of the price makes it a no brainer. Plus you get a full AB spec (apart from Frank who gets a poverty spec 5.0 SC in German Whistle ) Discovery 4 HSE
