I have the VIN-number for the car. How do I use it to check equipment, specs etc? |

Talked with the guy today, who is my Jag-mechanic. He will Change the motor and go over the car, and give me a good price then. Its a 03 Vogue, with the most of the spex available I think. |

I saw the wheeler dealer episode where they facelift the L322. I read afterwards that it wasn`t the most fortunate facelift done, but it god me curious.

I too have had a e34 touring and it had high miles but drove perfect. I maintained it myself. to 200k after a couple of early range rovers I got the l322 4.4 2002 they were great, but not a patch on the l322 my personal tip is to get one with LPG already fitted.

oh my gosh. those prices seem eye watering! here you can buy a range rover v8 as I did, normally needing something done to it to pass mot say, for around £5000-£6000 (2002-2003) a couple of 1000 more will get you decent looking and driving one. see ebay.co.uk

one last tip, is that if you had bought a diesel, it comes with an FBH or fuel burning heater, to pre warm the car, and it is remote operated from indoors! and timer set-able. it cycles the coolant through a heater etc. I believe some v8 have this. you guys could do with that out there. |

Haha, I really cant stand the TD6 diesel. Its just to slow for my taste. Anyways, I have a garage at work and at home, and the cars has got a gasburner for an engine, so should heat up quick enough!

'another' thing that the bmw 4.4 engine can suffer, is the vanos rattle. its sort of harmless rattling from the front of top timing covers. it means that the vanos seals are leaking by, and need to be replaced. (seals) they are £100 for the seals and fitting kit, but its a big but DIY job to change them. look on youtube for m62 vanos rattle, and you might find a clear sounding clakkering, as apposed to clattering. they often clakker on start up too. plenty of reasons on why, but fixable DIY. these v8 engines absolutely 'purr perfect' when going good. GOOD LUCK.

Ended on a 04 L322 Vogue, 4.4 M62B44. Oslo Blue with beige interior. Car is in excellent condition, but will need new summertires, as the ones I got with it is awful!
