Mine got Brembo brakes fitted as standard. Having new pads fitted next week, a little over £500 for the lot, hate to think what the cost will be if it needs disc's too Shocked

Shocked

Gen pads from dan are about 80 for the older style brembos and about double for the 6 pots on the later cars!

Did my front discs and pads for £200 and the rear pads for another 30 Thumbs Up

Easy job with no special tools required. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Just today quoted £225 for front pad replacement, from main dealer.
Car went in for a squeal which sounds like the rear wheel bearing to me.
Less than 100 miles ago, all the brakes were off the car for cosmetic stuff.
Replaced the full rear brakes £275ish for the parts rear discs/pads /park brake shoes / sensor. All genuine parts from Dan.
I said I would replace the pads they are blaming for the noise then take it back to them, so they can reach the conclusion that it is in fact the wheel bearing Whistle
Needless to say I ordered some genuine front pads from Dan for a little over £100 delivered.

one thing not to put on yr FF (if you don't have brembo's,) is the so called 'performance' slotted/drilled discs. previous owner fitted them, they are horrible when slowing at high speed. all the grooves resonate through steering and pedal. -on my de-clutter list for the spring.

I always stick to Genuine parts for brakes, service items and belts.
Have done on every car I've owned.

That was my theory too, and i agree on brakes, but for the other parts i order i am keeping a note of who makes them then can order the OEM parts from the same manufacturer.

So far:
Drop link - lemforder
Front suspension Arms - lemforder
Gearbox filter - filtrans
Front pads - brembo
Front discs - assuming brembo
Reqr pads - trw There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
