ok its something i should know , but is the fullfat bonnet made of steel or aluminium... ... - .- -.

You could just pass a magnet over the car like in the old days looking for filler? Aluminium is not magnetic so would enable you to tell where any steel reinforcing/fastenings are Very Happy Worse things happen at sea! Well thats what swmbo said when WRENS came to sea!!!

The frame of the car is steel, incl rear arches and boot panels the rest of the bolt on bits are ally. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
