Watched 'Cross of Iron'.

Quite good.

Like James Coburn - he does work hard at his coolness, and Max Schell was delightfully horrible.

Typical Sam Peckinpah production with lots of slow motion explosions and blood.

Good story, based on a book, itself based on a true story.

er.....no. Rolling Eyes

Such a film exists?

He plays a German soldier on the Eastern Front during WW2.

The only thing that spoilt it was some 'Russian' F4U's doing a bombing run.

Everyone knows the Russian's had no F4U's, and to my knowledge F4U's never operated on the Eastern Front for any air force.

'It's a wonderful life' is indeed a great movie but my fav xmas movie is 'Trading Places'.

Tonight I watched 'Bad Santa' on a recommendation, and it was pretty good. Coen Brothers film with Billy Bob Thornton.

Going through a world war II navel battles film phase.

Watched 'battle of the river plate' - surprisingly cheaply made.

'Sink the Bismarck' - really good film, oh and Dana Wynter....the yearning...

Guess 'the cruel sea' is next.
