any non-standard tyres/wheels fitted on to the range rover will give the insurance company's an excuse not to pay out in an event of a claim... ... - .- -.

Oh cock - do LR not say these are suitable ? Thought 20's are standard on supercharged so why cant they be used on a vogue se ? |

@crookedm, 20'' are standard but only in OE size [255/50/20] ... - .- -.

Grabber ATs in that size are H-rated (130 mph) so should be fine in terms of speed rating for an L322 TDV8. Manufacturer-approved sizes and insurance is a different matter.

it appears to be the 20'' which suffer lack of chunky tyres Mick, i think the 19'' are well supplied. ... - .- -.

You're not going to have any potential insurance issues if the size is what the manufacturer recommends and the speed rating is high enough.

So is Privacy Glass in the Front what was the view of your insurer's on this? Non Standard Tyres are not illegal, front Privacy Glass is - its up to the owner to check with their insurer re changes in tyres and if it would make any changes to their cover. If the tyre is of the correct size and meets (or exceeds) the manufacturer's specifications and requirements no insurance company could reasonably query it. |
