Doesn't have to be..... Mine is less hassle than my old 'detachable' and looks a whole lot neater when removed - as shown in your photo. What you need is a pin rather than a bolt - like this - ![]() If you want to tow & carry bikes, then you can't carry many bikes or need a fairly light trailer otherwise you run the risk of overloading the nose weight on the hitch.... |

good point on overloading the hitch, but with 150kg vertical load you should be pretty safe unless you are towing a big caravan with 100kg on the nose. |
