hi i am gathering parts to do a 06 on front end conversion. i bought a pair of secondhand front headlamps, and have got virtually all the other parts, BUT my lamps came without the top finishers. only two 'holes'
if you have an '06 on car, when you open the bonnet, you will see the slam panel, and to each side a black plastic piece above the headlamps, with a cut out semicircle shape in them. that hold the lamps to the slam panel. about 12 inches wide, 4 inches deep.....with a pair of fold over hooks on top. so the headlamps bolt to this top piece. if you can see a part number on this top piece only, i would be most grateful for the nunbers(S) left and right. ta...
i have stumped 'DAN at duckwoth' parts with this, and there is no 06 on car in his yard at present. -2010 on cars are different without this top piece.

I think you will find you cant buy the parts.

I believe they come with the lights as a complete unit.

Maybe try a few breakers.

that is possibly correct, and would be a right PITA! i will have to make the aforesaid mount as a temporary fitment. with some sheet metal and a hammer. but if any of you can see a part number on the top plate, or if you have one off the car, maybe underneath. please.

interestingly, the part is NOT on the picture of the headlamp in the headlamp section, or the slam panel section! (microcat) D'oh!

They are definitely not available to buy and only come with the headlamps...

DRAT! AND DOUBLE DRAT!

Maybe get onto the seller and explain that they are not complete.
