United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Finally got round to putting my FF.com sticker on now my windows have been privatised. Then got carried away and took front grill off, rubbed it down and primed it in anticipation of applying some Santorini black paint to it tomorrow. Looked at silver, shiney and mesh grills and decided black. Hope I'm right Whistle
Does this mean I'm now a proper member? Rolling with laughter

Had to drive to Epping to catch a train to good old London town, then on the way home stopped for a pint in Epping green, and sat in the pub, looking out the window at the car. 2004 vogue

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Dropped my FF at a leather restorers for some remedial work, more a cosmetic issue than significant wear. I think it should be viewed as a necessary cost for the privilege of having such a soft tactile feel and ivory leather.
He's doing door handles, seat bolsters, a few scuffs on the cubby box lid, armrests and a scuff on the rear seat. Then a full clean and conditioning of everywhere else.
Don't know anything about the guy but he was incredibly busy and I had to wait a while for him to even come and give me an estimate. He does work for all the local furniture shops including the big names. I left it with confidence, he said he expected me to be very pleased when I see the results. Confused
Had it, loved it!

Thank you Bill.

Yes and yes, to answer your steps questions. Opening a door or unlocking the car deploys the relevant step and there is a button beside the sun roof controls for manual override purposes. The steps fold away when the doors are closed or the car is locked. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Decided to paint my new tow bar with black Hammerite today before the weather has a chance to start dissolving it back to its constituent parts. Job going well, I slide further under the car on my back to get to that hard to reach bit. Neck beginning to ache a bit so put my head back to rest it for a minute. Feel something on the back of my head, think nothing of it so carry on painting. Decide to move and find something attached to the back of my head, reaching round.....I've only got the paint tin lid stuck to my head haven't I Rolling Eyes Fair hair, black hammerite....a DOH! moment if ever there was one.

The tow bar looks good though. Thumbs Up 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Oil Service day today, well overdue meant to service with 6000 miles to go on countdown, but ended up at 4275. (last service was 24/8/13 at 129619 miles)

Reset (using wiki instructions for 02-05) to 13675 so target for next service (oil and filter only) @ 8000

New oil filter and O ring, air filter, fuel filter, sump plug washer (came with filter) and Mobil 3000 5w-40

139390 miles on the clock Smile

Only two incidents this service:

1. Lost one fuel filter jubilee clip into the engine bay (advise remove these until ready to refit)
2. Dropped crosshead screwdriver into viscous fan shroud. Able to retrieve by release bottom of shroud and prising open Thumbs Up

No problems refitting engine covers this time, and the warm weather (30 degrees +) made pouring the oil a lot easier Wink

Now to prepare for rear subframe bushes, brake pipes and radiator, and tidy up front subframe in the autumn Shocked .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink
