if your dash is in that state then it would be interesting if you can find another route through the bulkhead, this will help other members who want to run a cable through.. ... - .- -.

I'll put some pics up of the route I find for the cable and if it's something people are interested in, maybe a how to guide. '55 Java Black Vogue |

Right, button is wired in, took a feed from battery to switch and then onto starter trigger. The switch will turn the starter but it sounds as if the solenoid hasn't pushed it out to engage the flywheel, is there a seperate trigger for this as I shoved a screwdriver down to the trigger and bridged it onto the live feed to starter and we had lift off. (without using the button)

It looks like the starter isn't receiving the full 12v supply needed so I'm going to install a relay switch further down the cable.

You ain't trying to power the starter motor, ie the big battery cables, with the push button switch by any chance are you? |

Im running my signal (power) cable from the battery through the push button start onto the solenoid for the starter motors actuator not the battefy power cable. when Im turning the starter its only showing 8 volts. Yhis is why I then took a wire from the battery cable on the starter into a relay, the relay then runs onto the trigger switch for the starter and the push button now triggers the relay.

Wire gauge was syphoning off some voltage and not getting 12v to starter.
