The battery is no more than 3 years old and the car only does about 5000 miles per year. After a journey today with the engine fully warm and battery charged I shut it down then started again with the same result. I will try another battery to see it makes a difference. Thanks Stan |

if you can live with the slightly longer starting time and theres nothing else wrong with your range, then i would leave it as it is...but be prepared to possibly get one soon... ... - .- -.

When did it last have a set of spark plugs? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Very good point, I've had the car 4 years and done 25k miles probably time to change the plugs. The car had a new fuel filter recently but I don't suspect that to be relative given that it runs normally otherwise. |

A cheap and relatively easy place to start.

Having not used the car for a few days I started it today and it is back to normal with each start. I rather suspect that what I thought was a fault was probably normal in the current weather conditions. I think the start sequence is affected by atmospheric conditions. |
